av1In short – I am a 28-year-old architect who would rather be a full-time photographer.

Hi, my name is Max Therry and I appreciate you taking some time to read about my experiences with photography. My passion for photography developed during my time in art school, where I would borrow my friends’ cameras and take photos of everything unusual around me. When this passion gained almost obsession-like traits, I bought my own Sony system and vowed to take as many photos as I could. After about a decade of filling up multiple hard drives, I feel like it’s time to share my experiences with whoever’s interested.

I don’t really specialize in any single type of photography, but my training as an architect has taught me how one thing can be perceived in many ways. This is the idea that I try to base my work around.

As Elliott Erwitt once said, “To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place.
